The adjustment of the slurry pump impeller is essential to ensure the efficient operation of the slurry pump, and it is necessary to timely adjust the gap between the impeller and the front guard plate. This is an important aspect of the maintenance of the slurry pump. So, how is the slurry pump impeller adjusted?
1. Requirements for the gap of the slurry pump impeller
The gap between the metal-lined slurry pump impeller and the front guard plate should be between 0.5-1mm.
The gap between the rubber-lined slurry pump impeller and the front and rear sleeves should be equal.
2. Adjustment method
First, to adjust the gap of the slurry pump impeller, the pump must be stopped.
Loosen the bolts of the bearing assembly, and turn the nut on the adjustment bolt to move the bearing assembly forward.
At the same time, rotate the shaft in the direction of the slurry pump until the impeller rubs against the front guard plate.
For the metal-lined slurry pump, loosen the nut that was just tightened by half a turn.
Then tighten the nut on the front of the adjustment bolt, so that the gap between the slurry pump bearing assembly and the front guard plate is now between 0.5-1mm.
For the rubber-lined pump, tighten the nut on the adjustment bolt to move the bearing assembly forward first, making the impeller contact the front sleeve.
