How to monitor the operation of the slurry pump after operation

The startup operation and monitoring of the slurry pump are very important for its use. Timely handling of any faults can effectively prevent damage to the slurry pump and extend its service life.
Starting and Monitoring of Slurry Pump
1. Before operating the slurry pump, fill the tank with clean water, open the pump inlet valve, and close the pump outlet valve.
2. Then start the pump, and slowly open the pump outlet valve after the pump starts.
3. At the same time, add slurry to the tank as needed.
4. The size and speed of the pump outlet valve opening should be controlled to prevent pump vibration and ensure the motor does not exceed the rated current, until the level stabilizes at 0.5-1 meters above the inlet pipe.
5. Regularly check and timely adjust the packing gland or replace the packing during operation.
6. Pay attention to check the bearing operation condition; do not operate with ore in the bearings. If ore enters the bearings, stop immediately for cleaning and oil replacement.
7. The bearing temperature must not exceed 75°C.
8. If the bearings heat up when starting, stop the pump and wait for the bearings to cool before restarting. If overheating persists, the pump must be stopped for maintenance.
9. Timely adjust the ore feeding amount or add water or adjust the pump outlet valve. Under no circumstances should the pump be allowed to run dry, as this can cause pump vibration.
10. It is prohibited for any solid materials to enter the pump to prevent clogging or damage to the pump lining.
11. Add oil in a timely manner according to the oil level of the pump.
12. Check whether the water seal pressure is normal, whether it is blocked, whether the water volume is sufficient, and whether the water quality is clean.
13. Check the lubrication oil levels in each part, whether the oil temperature is normal, and ensure the lubricating oil is clear. The oil temperature must not exceed 50 degrees.
14. Pay attention to observe whether the motor working current is normal and whether there are any abnormal noises from the motor.
