Why Slurry Pumps Generate Noise and How to Address It: Some users have encountered issues with slurry pump products, experiencing vibration and noise. Here, we explore the causes behind slurry pump noise and solutions to mitigate it.

1. Cavitation Phenomenon: The primary reason for noise in newly installed slurry pumps often involves installation issues, such as using an inlet and outlet pipeline that doesn't comply with the pump's standard caliber. Enlarging the pipeline caliber can lead to cavitation in the slurry pump, resulting in vibration and noise. To resolve this, one can close the smaller outlet valve or adjust the pipeline caliber.

2. Rotor Imbalance: Imbalance in the rotor of Shijiazhuang slurry pumps or the drive machine can cause excessive noise. Rebalancing the rotor should rectify this situation.

3. Correcting Coupling: In horizontal multi-stage slurry pumps, improper alignment of the pump and motor shafts within the coupling can generate mechanical vibrations and noise. Realigning the coupling is the solution.

4. Severe Bearing Wear: Excessive wear in the bearings can result in increased clearance, necessitating the replacement of the bearings with new ones.

5. Loose Foundation Bolts: Loose bolts or an unsound foundation can be a cause. Checking and tightening loose parts or replacing them should address this issue.

6. Inadequate Liquid Level: In instances where the liquid level is lower than the pump, as in the case of horizontal slurry pump installations without a bottom valve in the inlet pipeline, the pump may experience empty pumping. Installing a bottom valve in the tank to draw water after starting the pump or switching to a self-priming slurry pump is a more suitable solution.

7. Slurry Pump Part Looseness: Prolonged operation can lead to parts loosening or damage in the slurry pump. Fastening loose parts or replacing them is advised.

8. Pipeline Support: Unstable brackets or pump-supported pipeline systems can lead to pipeline vibration. Strengthening the pipeline bracket independent of pump support is recommended.

9. Foreign Objects in the Slurry Pump: Metal or other foreign objects in the pump or friction between the impeller and pump casing can cause noise. Disassembling the pump body to inspect and eliminate friction is the solution.
