1. First of all, we can choose the lining material reasonably

There are many kinds of lining materials for slurry pumps, such as high chromium cast iron, high chromium white cast iron and wear-resistant rubber.

1) High chromium cast iron material is selected, which has good wear resistance and can only be used in thick slurry and sharp slurry dressing plants;

2) High-chromium white cast iron material has good wear resistance, but poor toughness and cannot withstand the rapid impact of large solid particles. Otherwise, the material on the surface of the impeller will fall off, and the cross section will easily form pits due to corrosion;


3) The wear-resistant rubber material has better wear resistance and corrosion resistance than metal materials and has high elasticity, but it is only suitable for conveying fine slurry without edges.

Therefore, the cylinder liner should be reasonably selected according to the type of ore to improve the utilization rate of the pump.

2. Select according to actual flow and head

When choosing a slurry pump, general users only focus on the choice of pump flow rate, but ignore the choice of pump lift. Some people even think that the higher the lift, the safer it is. Therefore, the lift of the pump is greater than the actual demand, resulting in a large amount of waste of electrical energy. .

The slurry pump should be selected according to the actual requirements of the lift to reduce the installed capacity and save electric energy. In addition, it should be noted that when calculating the head, it is necessary to consider the loss of the head, to avoid insufficient head of the pump, which will affect the irrigation and drainage efficiency of the pump.

3. The power of the motor and pump must be reasonably matched.

The unreasonable matching of motors and power is mainly reflected in two aspects: "a big ox pulls a small plow, and a small ox pulls a big plow". In particular, the former phenomenon is particularly common, and the matching power is large, resulting in a huge waste of electrical energy. The latter's matching power selection is smaller, that is, "calf pulling the plow", which will cause insufficient pulp supply. Motor overload or pump shutdown cannot ensure safe and economical operation of the equipment. The solution is to reasonably match the motor and power.

4. Scientific and reasonable installation is conducive to the efficient operation of the equipment.

If conditions permit, when installing the pump, try to reduce the number of elbows or eliminate the "three valves" method. The pipes should be as straight and short as possible, and the outlet pipe should not be set up like an "anti-aircraft gun". It is recommended to use horizontal installation and tilted installation methods to reduce losses. It should be known that the large or small diameter of the pipe has a great impact on the head and loss. Therefore, it is recommended to use a slurry pump with a slightly larger water pipe diameter, which can improve the pump's delivery efficiency.
