1. Reasonable selection of lining materials according to the type of ore.
There are many types of slurry pump lining materials, such as high-chromium cast iron, high-chromium white cast iron and wear-resistant rubber, etc., and many businesses are hesitant to choose from many materials. Choose high-chromium cast iron material, which has good anti-wear performance, and is limited to concentrators with coarse and sharp slurry; The high-chromium white cast iron material has good wear resistance, but its toughness is poor, and it cannot withstand the rapid impact of large solid particles, otherwise it will cause the impeller surface material to fall off, and the section is easy to form pits due to corrosion; The wear-resistant rubber material has better wear resistance and corrosion resistance than metal materials, and has high elasticity, but it is only suitable for conveying fine-grained slurry without edges and corners. Therefore, the selection of slurry pump lining needs to be reasonably selected according to the type of ore, so as to improve the utilization rate of the pump.

2. According to the actual need of flow and head selection.
In the selection of slurry pumps, general users only pay attention to the flow selection of the pump, ignoring the selection of the head of the pump, and some people even think that the higher the head, the safer, so the selected head of the slurry pump is greater than the actual head demand, so that a lot of electric energy is wasted. The selection of slurry pump should be selected according to the actual head demand to reduce the number of installed units and save electric energy. In addition, it should be noted that when calculating the head, the loss head needs to be considered to avoid the pump head is not enough, which will affect the pump irrigation and drainage efficiency.

3. The power of the motor and the slurry pump must be reasonable.
The unreasonable matching of the motor and the slurry pump power is mainly reflected in the two aspects of "the big cow pulls the small plow, and the small cow pulls the big plow", especially the first phenomenon is particularly many, and the supporting power is selected to be large, resulting in a very large waste of electric energy. The latter supporting power is selected small, that is, "the calf pulls the big plow", which will cause the slurry pump to supply insufficient slurry. The motor is overloaded or the pump cannot ensure the safe and economical operation of the equipment, and the motor and the slurry pump must be reasonably matched to solve the problem.

4. The scientific and reasonable installation of slurry pumps.
If conditions permit, when installing the slurry pump, try to minimize the amount of elbows, or cancel the "three valves", the pipeline is straight and short, do not set the outlet pipe to the "anti-aircraft gun" type, you can take the methods of horizontal installation, inclined installation, etc., to reduce losses. The diameter of the pipeline has a great influence on the loss head, so it is good to take a grade of the diameter of the slurry pump with a slightly larger diameter of the water pipe, which can improve the conveying efficiency of the slurry pump.
