What is grease lubrication?

Grease lubrication is achieved by manually filling grease into the machine casing. This method is mainly used for rolling bearings with a speed not exceeding 3000 revolutions per minute, a temperature not exceeding 115°C, friction pairs with a circumferential speed below 4.5 meters per second, heavily loaded gears, worm gears, chains, steel ropes, etc.

Grease can reduce mechanical friction, prevent metal aging, and prevent gas, oil, and water leakage, ensuring the normal operation of mechanical equipment.

Classification of grease

  • Classified by the lubricated mechanical components: bearing grease, gear grease, chain grease, etc.
  • Classified by the industrial sectors using the grease: automotive grease, railway grease, steel grease, etc.
  • Classified by the temperature of use: low-temperature grease, regular grease, and high-temperature grease, etc.
  • Classified by application range: multi-purpose grease, special grease, and general-purpose grease.
  • Classified by the thickening agents used: sodium-based grease, calcium-based grease, aluminum-based grease, complex calcium-based grease, lithium-based grease, complex aluminum-based grease, complex barium-based grease, and complex lithium-based grease, bentonite grease, silicone grease, polyurethane grease, etc.
  • Classified by base oil: mineral oil grease and synthetic oil grease.
  • Classified by load-bearing performance: extreme pressure grease and regular grease.

What is oil lubrication?
