The main factors affecting the wear of the flow parts of the slurry pump;
1. Slurry concentration and flow rate
Under the same operating conditions, as the slurry concentration decreases, that is, the solid particle content in the slurry decreases, the scouring effect of the solid particles weakens, and the service life of the slurry pump flow parts increases.
As the slurry flow rate increases, the number of solid particles impacting the material surface per unit time increases, and the amount of material loss increases. Therefore, the increase in the slurry flow rate will accelerate the wear of the flow parts and reduce the service life.
2. Slurry pH
In addition to the loss of materials caused by the scouring of solid particles, the corrosion of the slurry will also cause the loss of materials. At the same time, the interaction between corrosion and erosion wear further aggravates the loss of materials.
In addition, the particle size, hardness and the impact angle of the particles on the material surface also have a great influence on the erosion wear of the material.
