Check before running

1. Check that the rotation direction of the motor is consistent with the specified rotation direction of the pump. The pump rotates clockwise when viewed from the drive end. When testing the rotation direction of the motor, the motor should be tested alone and must not be coupled with the pump for testing at the same time.

2. Check whether the elastic pad in the coupling is complete and correct.

3. Check whether the rotation of the motor shaft and the pump are concentric.

4. Check whether bearing oil is added to the bearing box to the position indicated by the oil mark.

5. Before starting the pump, the shaft seal water must be opened (the mechanical seal is cooling water), and the pump inlet valve must be opened and the pump outlet valve must be closed.

6. Check whether the valve is flexible and reliable.

7. Others, such as anchor bolts, flange seals and bolts. Whether the piping system, etc. is installed correctly, firmly and reliably.

Start operation and monitoring

1. Before starting the slurry pump, the pump inlet valve should be opened and the pump outlet valve should be closed. Then start the pump. After the pump starts, slowly open the pump outlet valve. The size and speed of the pump outlet valve opening should be controlled so that the pump does not vibrate and the motor does not exceed the rated current.

2. The starting of the series pump also follows the above method. Just after starting the first-stage pump, you can open the outlet valve of the final-stage pump a little (the opening size should be 1/4 of the rated current of the first-stage pump motor), and then start the second and third stages one after another. After all the final-stage pumps and series pumps are started, the outlet valve of the final-stage pump can be gradually opened. The speed of opening the valve should be controlled by ensuring that the pump does not vibrate and that the motor of any stage pump does not exceed the rated current.

3. The slurry pump is mainly used to transport flow, so it is best to install a flow meter (meter) in the operation monitoring system to monitor whether the flow meets the requirements at any time; in the pipeline system and slag flushing system equipped with cyclone , The filter press dehydration system also requires a certain pressure at the pipeline outlet. Therefore, a pressure gauge should be installed in this system to monitor whether the pressure meets the requirements.

4. In addition to monitoring the flow and pressure during operation of the pump, the motor must also be monitored not to exceed the rated current of the motor. Monitor at any time whether oil seals, bearings, etc. are experiencing normal conduction, whether the pump is emptying or overflowing, etc., and deal with them at any time.
